The event takes over the outside and inside of the RBC Center and features activities for fans of all ages including inflatable rides, interactive games and booths, a kid’s zone, a sports area, live music and more.

There will also be two autograph sessions with select Hurricanes players, two Canes practices and a chance to get tickets to the free preseason game on Oct. 1.

Admission and parking are free and the event is open to the public.

The Caniac Carnival will also include Crazy Caniac Challenge II, a two-lap race around the RBC Center (approximately two miles). This may sound easy, but once again there is a twist. After completing one lap, participants must eat two hotdogs and drink one 12-ounce soda before running the final lap.

The grand prize winner will receive two 12-game plans for the 2010-11 season. There are also runner-up prizes and two other categories with gifts for the top finishers (14-and-under division and a female division). In addition, all participants that finish the race will be eligible to win two 12-game plans for the 2010-11 season.
