Part-time Merchandise Warehouse Associate

Salary Range: $13.00 per hour
The Carolina Hurricanes are seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to assist with order fulfillment and processing merchandise products. This position will report to the Distribution Manager and work closely with the retail management staff. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with a keen ability to solve problems and self-motivate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with unloading of products from carrier trucks
- Inspect products for damages or discrepancies and communicate issues to the Distribution Manger
- Assist with counting & receiving of incoming merchandise
- Accurately price and label products as needed
- Continually organizing product shelving and keeping up with an organized warehouse process
- Assist with pulling products for order fulfillment for CarolinaProShop.com
- Assist with pulling products for restocking of Carolina Pro Shop stores
- Assist with packaging and shipping online orders for CarolinaProShop.com
- Maintain speed and accuracy metrics while following packaging and shipping guidelines
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts of products to ensure accurate inventory levels are met
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment preferred.
- Basic computer literacy preferred; experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Some experience with Excel
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion, perform heavy pushing/pulling of product.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, scanners, and label printers
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Positive team attitude and willingness to adapt
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have reliable transportation to warehouse location
